OUR FIVE FAVORITE ROOM TRANSFORMATIONS ROUND UP
We made it to FRIDAY, friends! If you can’t tell I’m a HUGE fan of room transformations. If you’ve never fully redone a space all the way down to the studs and sub floor, it can be hard to recognize, and FULLY appreciate just what went into that room. Planning, trial and error, more planning, decisions, materials, time, energy…the list goes on. Don’t get me wrong though, smaller upgrades are JUST as big, especially if you don’t consider yourself a “Do it yourself connoisseur!” There was a time where adding a coat of paint to a room was my biggest accomplishment, and over the years I just kept adding to the vision as my knowledge grew.
The most recent favorite room transformation of ours is the guest bathroom that we revealed this week. It began 7 months ago, and has just now hit the 100% finished mark, and that is so exciting to type out. Here’s a side by side of the finished bathroom.
If you’re a new follower than you probably don’t know that our FIRST gigtantic room transformation was our kitchen. We completely redid the entire thing, and no it’s not 100% finished, however the photographs show just how tedious the entire process was. I’m not going to lie to you, it was the most intimidating DIY we’ve done yet, simply because we were working with a 1963 kitchen. Want to see all the grimy, gross, and puke worthy photos? Check out our Kitchen Gut here.
Which brings us to this post. I scoured the internets, aka Pinterest, (if you’re not following us and love our style you can do so here), and I picked my five favorite room transformations! These rooms are seriously so impressive, guys. I’m stoked to be exposing them to new eyes that may not have seen them yet! So get ready for major emoji heart eyes! I really encourage you to leave some love below in the comments, as well as the spaces that I’m sharing! It’s such a great feeling when your hard work is seen, and I know the love will be appreciated! Here are my top five favorite room transformations below! Let’s do this.
First up this entryway before and after.
I am absolutely loving the clean lines, and light modern upgrade to this entryway. Kristina from Kristinalynne took those awkwardly placed doors, and turned them into practical, organized storage! Don’t mind me, just over here slow clapping. Follow along with her latest talent on Instagram here!
Think that entryway is impressive, because duh it is, check out this next space. Just look at this laundry room transformation.
I feel like every parent can appreciate a beautiful space to do laundry. It kinda makes the task itself seem a TAD bit more enjoyable, right? Regardless of laundry motivation, I would bring all my laundry over to Bre’s house from Brepurposed, and I might never leave ;). This space is just one of many that she’s transformed! Check out her insta feed here.
A frames all currently all the craze right now, and this transformation had me at the word Scandinavian. Kara blew my mind away, and I know she’ll blow yours away too. Look at this room transformation.
Don’t stop at these two photos though, stop by and check out ALL the transformation photos on her space HERE, and did you know you can RENT this on AirBNB. So awesome! Follow her a-frame insta feed here.
Next up a dated space upgraded with a modern rustic twist. I love when people have the vision for a space, that would most likely be scoffed at and turned down by the majority. This space is an example of that vision coming to life. One word: Potential. Check it out.
I love that Kisha didn’t turn away from this project. Check out the rest of her before and after transformations HERE. Also check out what she’s been up to on Instagram here. Keep inspiring us all, girl!
Last but certainly NOT least two of my favorite bloggers who keep it real 24-7. From their interior style, to their newest adventure with their clothing line, Propertee, they are huge inspirations to continue working our your home and making it your own. As parents and DIY’ers ourselves, they are hands down two of the most relateable individuals in the blogging world. Did I mention that 10% of all their net profits from Propertee are going towards charities…Read more about that here.
Look at one of their many room transformations that I love, their closet.
If you aren’t a blogger, and don’t already follow Chris and Julia on Instagram, do yourself a favor and go check out their feed HERE. View the rest of their closet and the whole process and after photos HERE.
We’re these rooms not absolutely MAGICAL? So much incredible talent in the online DIY world! I hope I introduced a few new faces for you to follow. I know their spaces and amazing room transformations will leave you inspired, just like they’ve left us! Thanks so much for stopping by and reading our five favorite room transformations! We’re so thankful for your readership!
