Our guest bathroom has seen it's days of urine that has runneth over the toilet seat, chronicles of having #threesons. Today however we have made significant progress to bring not only beauty to this bathroom, but also practicality. One of the huge positive changes was the floor/wall tile.
Unlike the previous tile that has an extremely porous surface which left it extremely difficult to clean sufficiently, our new tile is smooth and wipe able. Check out some of these progress tiling photos below for the full effect.
It already looks drastically different with the wall tiled compared to the drywall that was there previously. We also gained so much room removing the large storage cabinet that was there when we moved in. In case you don't remember what that looks like, here's an iphone shot I grabbed before removal.
Now what I've been waiting to see for the past month and a half- an almost fully functional bathroom! Here is what the bathroom currently looks like with the new vanity, toilet, and tiled walls/shower!
I am obsessed with the size of this vanity. It's big enough storage wise, yet makes the bathroom feel so large.
We now have all that extra space where the large cabinet sat before! I think it will be the perfect spot for a laundry basket/towel hangers!
Now for the to-do list that will make this bathroom renovation 100% complete.
Patch holes + paint walls
Install wall vent by toilet
Finish chair rail tile edging
Frame out window
Replace window* (eventually)

Install light/new fan in shower
Finish tiling wall behind door/grout
Seal all tile/caulk
Install towel hangers
Window privacy treatment
Find + hang mirror above vanity
Find bathroom rugs
