This do it yourself credenza that we built is one of my favorite projects to date. This project is functional, practical, and has helped tremendously when it comes to organization with the indoor items we have. The left cabinet holds books, the middle holds toy cars, and the right cabinet holds family games. I love the fact that it's raised off the floors. This creates a more open space, plus I can sweep/run the ILife underneath it without any problems.
We debated on doing a wall to wall credenza, but ultimately decided to leave some room on the ends. These cabinet pulls match our kitchen cabinet pulls. This project took roughly an hour to complete and a handful of materials. Today I wanted to show you how we built our credenza, and maybe it will be the missing puzzle piece to an empty wall in your own home.
First up materials.
This project is one that I absolutely say save up for! It will make a huge impact, a tad pricey, but when you compare it to big box store console tables that range from $599.99+, this is a steal. Plus, you can customize this credenza to your liking/style. I love whites and wood tones, so obviously I stained this with my favorite stain. I've debated changing out the hardware, but since it's just a cosmetic change I can't justify it. Maybe later down the road.
Are you going to tackle this project? If you have an awkward cut out in a wall, this would be a great affordable solution. You could cut the project cost in half. This DIY credenza would be a great option for the end of a hallway as well! You can sub out the cabinets with ones that aren't as deep. SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!
