DIY MINIMAL WALL LIGHT STAND
We've slowly been adding pieces to our room to bring it all together. I've been wanting a light next to my side of the bed in hopes of eventually having enough time to read at night. My favorite part about do it yourself projects is using what you already have on hand. We just finished a floating nightstand that we upcycled from on hand materials, and we have a small pile of excess wood from our diy modern wood play set. That's where these scrap pieces came from.
This is hands down one of the easiest projects to date. All it took was a handful of cuts. You can make this entire project out of one 2x2! Once you make your cuts (you can personalize this diy minimal wall light stand to your liking), all you need to do is attach your pieces with screws. Easy peasy! Here's what it looks like assembled and hung. *Side note: If you don't have power tools at home you can simply purchase the 2x2 at Home Depot and they will make your cuts for you free of charge! ;)
I love how it turned out. It's minimal, slightly messy with the cord, and practical.
I've had this light that I picked up from target a year or so ago, and it's just been waiting to be used in a space. I love that it adds some contrast to the room. It looks amazing against the white walls.
Definitely excited to give it a go tonight! Who knows, maybe I'll pick up a book or two while I'm out grabbing diapers! Here's a few more photos of it in all of it's glory.
I hope this beginner level do it yourself project inspired you to build something, or use a few pieces of that scrap wood that has been collecting dust in the corner! Thank you like always for stopping by and reading!
