We're thrilled to dive head first big project of 2018, our bathroom renovation! There are a few reasons behind this renovation, I'll talk about those a little later, but for now let's discuss bathroom inspiration!
We knew right off the bat that we wanted the space to feel clean, minimal (naturally), and most importantly practical. Since it is our children's bathroom we wanted it to be as clutter free and open as possible. The biggest challenge is going to be creating the illusion that the bathroom is larger than it actually is. We're only working with 46 sq ft (this measurement isn't including the tub). Here's what the bathroom looked like when we moved in so you can get a feel for the layout.
Since that photo doesn't truly depict the larger cabinet, here is a cell photo shot of the right side of the bathroom.
The counter top had to be switched out roughly a year ago due to it cracking.
Now that you have a layout visual, let's jump right into our bathroom inspiration! First up tile inspiration. We are loving this marble tile!
Next up the vanity. We love the idea of a floating vanity to eliminate wasted space. This one caught our eye.
The mirror is going to play a huge role in our bathroom renovation. It's key for reflecting light from the window and adding to the illusion that the bathroom is larger than it is. That's one reason why I'm loving the simplicity of the mirror below.
We're still on the fence about paint colors, but we know we will end up going with a neutral. We love the feel of this bathroom paint.
Which one is your favorite bathroom inspiration photo? Are you a fan of marble and minimal design? Do you favor unframed mirrors vs framed bathroom mirrors? We would love to chat with you in the comment section below! Meanwhile tiling the bathroom floors are on tonight's agenda! We cannot wait to show you what we ended up picking out!
