Our little breakfast nook has come a long way from three years ago. When we first moved in it was a tiny corner of our kitchen with a ceiling fan. Our family was already too big for a table to accommodate us, and of course we had to do something with that beautiful blue wood paneling.
When it comes to living in a smaller home, you have to use empty space wisely for what your current/future needs are/will be. This new and improved nook area won't only give us practical use of this space (think homework, photo editing, and general planning area), but it adds so much character to our kitchen. I'm excited to transform the aesthetic of this kitchen corner and put it to good use.
I'm currently on the lookout for some chairs/stools that don't take up a lot of space, and are toddler proof, because let's face it, everything is a mountain these days. Today I'm going to work on the cosmetic side of it, including trim painting, sanding, baseboards, etc! Here's a quick before and after of before we moved in vs. in real time this morning.
