At first we thought we would love the legs underneath our kitchen cabinets. It only took a few weeks before we realized how annoying and frustrating it was to sweep underneath them on a weekly basis. It was easy for food, dust, and everyday items to end up under the cabinets with four children. We decided it would be best to install and diy our own toe kicks to fix this problem.
First we took measurements of the surrounded area underneath the cabinets. We cut down 2x4's and secured them into place. Once the 2x4's were in place, we attached mdf to the fronts and sides. To ensure they had the same aesthetic we color matched the paint to the cabinets and painted them.
You can see what these toe kicks look like in painted and finished form on THIS post.
